Where we are
Houndhouse dog boarding kennel is located on 48 acres of woodland and rolling hills in the beautiful Erin/Hillsburgh area of Wellington County, Ontario just 45 minutes northwest of Toronto's Pearson International Airport. No expense or detail was spared in the construction of our kennel. The boarding area is attached to our house, so we’re never far from your furry family members, day or night. The boarding kennel is bright, spacious and comfortable with its many windows, skylights and wide aisles. It boasts radiant floor heat and central air conditioning for the comfort, health and safety of your dog. We also offer acres of securely fenced exercise areas to help keep your dog in shape during his stay.
Who we are
In the past, when we ourselves have travelled, we always had trouble finding somewhere we felt comfortable leaving our pets, so we created Houndhouse. A place where animals come first. We have bred and shown Irish Wolfhounds, and for years have been involved with dogs on many different levels. The experiences we’ve had with our own dogs have allowed us to develop the expertise with which we treat yours. We are members of the Canadian Kennel Club, the Irish Wolfhound club of Canada, the Irish Wolfhound Club of America, the Greyhound Club of Canada and the Ontario Lure Coursing Association. We are also proud supporters of our local Humane Society.
We will treat your pet as if it was our own; the way we’d want our pets treated if left in the care of another.
